Who is Statewide Sewing?

Statewide Sewing is a family-owned business.  Jerry, in the sewing machine sales business for over 40 years, had established sales and satisfied customers primarily in the Midwest region of the United States via his sewing stores and motel sales.  He was one of the largest dealers of the Necchi brand and won many awards for his sales performance and customer service with Necchi, New Home, Singer, White, etc.  He unexpectedly passed on one day after open heart surgery in 2005.  The loss of Jerry would have meant the end of sewing machine sales in the family.  However, his daughter, having grown up and actively involved in the business, decided to start her own sewing sales business in 2005, to keep the family tradition alive and honor her father's memory.  Her mother, with over 30 years of experience, also helps in the business.  Through this website, we have been able to serve the needs of the entire United States and many countries worldwide.  Our friendly staff is ready to help you find the right part, accessory, or sewing machine for your needs.

How much does shipping & tax cost?  What are your policies?

All items on our website show the shipping cost in the price per item if the item is shipped to anywhere in the continental United States.  If you are purchasing items via our shopping cart system, shipping costs have been calculated into each item (unless otherwise specified).  All sewing machine purchases and orders over $50.00 also include insurance.  (Orders under $50.00 can be insured, at your request, for an additional $2.00 charge.)  If the item arrives damaged, please contact us within 72 hours of receipt of the item so we can correct the problem and file a claim with the shipper.  Otherwise, all sales are final unless, in special cases, you have authorization from us for a credit less shipping and restocking fee or an exchange.  If you want to return or exchange an item, please e-mail or call us for authorization before mailing it back (and do so within 72 hours of receipt of the item).  Special order items, including machines, are not refundable.  To have a machine or accessory shipped outside the continental USA, contact us for shipping rates.  We ship within 24 hours or less of your cleared payment for all in-stock orders.  Wisconsin residents are charged 5.5% sales tax at check-out.  If you are a Wisconsin resident and send a money order, please add sales tax to your total order.

Yes!  At this link, we are selling odds and ends.  Some items are new, some are vintage, and some are antiques.  Keep watching as we add these one of a kind items to our inventory.  We also offer old furniture.  As for our main business--sewing--we are currently selling many items which can be found at links that are located at the top of this webpage.
